How does Careersaas use my location?

Careersaas utilises your locality and IP address in order to display the jobs near you.

Consider that your IP address is not an exact representation of your location but of your Internet Service Provider, however we can use this data and make a fair presumption that it is within your local proximity.

The Settings page https://app.careersaas.com/portal/settings.html provides functionality to drill down on 10km, 20km, 50km and 100km ranges to expand or reduce the area in which you are searching for a job.

Please keep in mind that if you use a VPN connection this may generate invalid results. Often, a VPN is designed to spoof your location or display you as from another geographic locale. The data that you see in Careersaas will not always be accurate if you use this connection method.

If you would like to disable the location filter, on https://app.careersaas.com/portal/settings.html click “Enable “nearby” role search filter” or from any search page the same option can be toggled.

If you’re not using a VPN and you think your location is completely wrong, please reach out to us on the Help and Contact page, sending us your geo location and IP address and we will endeavour to update our database.
